Guidelines for the safest possible journey

Our stance: No place for hate – together for diversity. Our festival stands for diversity, respect, and solidarity. Far-right ideology, discriminatory behavior, or violence have no place with us – neither on the grounds nor on the way there. With your awareness and solidarity, you help ensure that everyone can feel safe on their way to the festival.

Through our exchanges with the initiative Sichere Orte Cottbus (Safe Spaces Cottbus), with the City of Cottbus's network coordinator for culture and nightlife, and through past experiences, we are increasingly aware that far-right groups in the region around Cottbus-Drewitz are gaining influence and that violent attacks are on the rise. This creates a risk that also affects Sägewerk and especially the arrival and departure of our guests, supporters, and artists.

We want to raise your awareness – not cause alarm.

 

Tips and structures for a safer journey 

We believe it makes sense for all of us to know in advance which behaviors and structures support the safest possible arrival.

  • Don't travel alone – form carpools for train, car, or bike. We've set up a Telegram group for coordination. Send us an email at vernetzung@khisdapaze.de to receive the link.
  • DB Security and the Federal Police have been made aware of our event and your travel routes at transfer stations.
  • At the destination station Jänschwalde Ost, DB Security staff will also schedule occasional patrols.
  • We have set up an emergency number at +49 1590 48 50 338, which connects you to our security team, who can also respond on the move in the area surrounding the grounds if needed.
  • During train journeys, reach out to the train staff if you encounter difficult situations.

There will likely be shuttles running between Jänschwalde Ost station and the festival grounds from Thursday noon to Monday noon. Details on exact times and costs will follow.
